ラテン語で“守護神”を意味する名を冠し、2005年に実業家サスーン・シルマケスとデザイナーのアントニオ・テラノヴァによって設立されたクストス。サスーンはフランク・ミュラーのビジネスパートナーであるヴァルタン・シルマケスの息子で、若くして時計の世界に入り、21歳でブランドを立ち上げた。クストスはトノウ型ケースとスケルトンデザインを組み合わせた次世代のラグスポスタイルを確立し、チャレンジジェットライナー、チャレンジシーライナー、チャレンジクロノといった人気シリーズを展開。それに次ぐ新コレクションの1本が「メトロポリタン P-S スケルトン」だ。

メトロポリタンシリーズでは“洗練された都会”をテーマに、外装から文字盤、ディテールにいたるまで新たなスタイルを採用。本作は重厚なのに軽量なグレード5 チタン製のケース＆ブレスレットを取り入れ、場所によりポリッシュとヘアライン仕上げを使い分けてモダンな風合いを高めた。ブレスレットはコンフォートエクステンションシステムにより6mmまでの延長が可能なほか、アクティブに楽しめるラバーストラップも付属し、こちらも工具なしで簡単に交換できる。
