【The Armoury TV】 vol.1 ／ 「3PBジャケット」の着こなし
アーモリーの3PBは、サファリジャケットの後継として開発したモデルです。アーモリーでは、ここ8～9年程サファリジャケットを展開しており、かなり評判のよいモデルの1つですが、そろそろ「サファリ後の世界」に突入しているのかな、という気持ちになりました。
ドレイクスにも、非常に素敵なサファリジャケットの後継者「Chore Jacket」（訳注：雑用という意味）がありますが、私たちは別の方向性に向かいました。丈の短いクロップドジャケットを試してみることにしました。アーモリーのご提案するスタイルとして、脚を長めに見せるフィッティングが重要です。長くまっすぐな脚のラインを出したいのです。そのため、オリジナルのデニムも股上が深めになっていますし、トラウザーズも、もちろん股上は深めです。
もしも、テイラードジャケットの丈がこんなに短かったら滑稽になってしまいそうですが、カジュアルジャケットとしては、悪くないですよね？ ちょうど、腰骨を隠すくらいの丈感になっています。3PBの細かいディテールについてお話するまえに、このような商品ができてくるまでのプロセスをご紹介します。
アーモリーでは、商品のモデル名を多く使っていることにお気づきかもしれません。たとえば、モデル1・2・6・12、3PB、スポーツチノ、などなど。その理由としては、商品開発の段階でデザインをできる限り完成形に近づけ、汎用性を持たせたいからです。型紙に手を加える必要がほとんどないくらい形が出来上がってしまえば、その後は様々な生地を使って楽しむことができます。
継続して同じ形の商品があることで、サイズ感や着心地など、お客様に商品をご理解いただくことも容易になります。希望的には、弊店でサイズ48のものを１点お買い上げになったら、他の商品でも同じサイズを似たようなフィット感でお召しいただける、ということを追求しています。いろいろな商品が、世界の様々な場所から集まっていますから、開店当初は難しい目標でした。
さて、3PBの詳細をお話します。これはクロップドジャケットで、３つポケットのブルゾンという意味の名前です。ブルゾンというのは、一般的にはオーバーシャツ、もしくはごく薄手のジャケットを指します。私たちにとって、ジャケット的な部分は例えば追加のパネルが裾やポケット上部についていたり、飾りステッチがポケットについていて、カフはシャツではなくジャケットタイプのカフがついています。ボタンもジャケットサイズのボタンです。ボタンのサイズは、インナーとして着るべき服なのか、アウターとして着るべき服なのかを判断する良い指標になります。
どのように着るかですが、カジュアルからスマートカジュアルまでご使用いただけます。私が今着用しているように、ジーンズと合わせてもいいですし、チノパンと合わせても。そして、トラウザーズとネクタイを合わせることもできます。オフィス勤務には向かないかもしれませんが、お仕事のタイプやオケージョンによっては全く問題ないと思います。
次に、スタイリングをご紹介します。様々な生地の3PBをお持ちしました。個人的に所有するサンプルや、店頭に並んでいるものも混じえています。
