“黄金の手をもつ”稀代の時計師、ミシェル・パルミジャーニが自らの名を冠し、1996年に創業したパルミジャーニ・フルリエ。その類まれな技術力とアイデアを生かしたコンプリケーションウォッチの印象が強いこのブランドだが、2020年には「トンダ GT」を発表し、上品なスポーツ系モデルにも定評がある。今回紹介する「トンダ PF マイクロローター」ノーデイトモデルは、さらに進化したラグジュアリーを纏う1本だ。

イタリア語で“円”を意味する「トンダ」コレクションから2021年に登場した「トンダ PF マイクロローター」。不要なものをすべて取り除き、本質のみを生かす、というコンセプト通り、非常にシンプルな2針スタイルが特徴だったが、その最新作ではついに日付表示までも排した。またPFコレクションの特徴であるSSケースに“ローレット”と呼ばれる刻み加工を施したプラチナベゼルも印象的。シンプルな外観に個性的なエレガントテイストを加えており、シームレスに繋がるブレスレットを組み合わせ、ポリッシュ＆サテンで上品に仕上げた。

日付表示を取り除いた文字盤は、繊細な針とインデックスを配したミニマルの極みとなるが、穏やかな“ゴールデン・シエナ”の色合いに“バーリーコーン（麦の穂）”と呼ばれる緻密なギョーシェを施した。こちらもピュアな個性を引き立てている。そして内部に搭載するのは自動巻きCal.PF703。プラチナ製マイクロローターを備えたこの3.07mm厚の極薄キャリバーの採用により、厚さわずか7.8mmという究極のドレス系ラグジュアリースポーツを実現させたのである。

パルミジャーニにとってドレスかスポーツかは意味のないことかもしれない。ただこのブランドの超越的な創造性が、繊細で静謐ながら極上のラグスポ感が漂う本作を生み出したのは間違いない。
