一切継ぎ目なし！
一枚革を“二度吊り”で作る、ニッポン既製革靴界の至高
お値段30万円超！という、ニッポン既製靴の常識を打ち破る挑戦に打って出た三陽山長。今年の初めに発表した頂上ライン｢零（ゼロ）｣シリーズで、さらなる躍進を果たしました。もちろん価格と同様に、そのクオリティも史上最高。特筆すべきは、シリーズ名の由来にもなっている「ゼロシーム」仕立てです。一般的なホールカットの場合、ヒールやサイド部分に１箇所継ぎ目が入りますが、こちらはそれがゼロ。そうなると何が違うって、作りの手間も難度も比べものにならないほど変わってくるんです。
アッパーの裁断は、ざっくりと楕円形にカットするだけ。それを手仕事で木型に吊り込み、靴の形に仕上げていきます。その後、いったん木型から外して製甲を行い、再び吊り込み。つまり吊り込みだけで２倍以上の手間を要するというわけです。しかも一枚革を少しのシワもなく吊り込むのはまさに至難。卓越した技術と実直な職人魂を兼ね備えたニッポンの作り手がポテンシャルをフルに発揮して、ようやく形にできるという代物なんです。
これはもはや、世界に誇る革靴遺産。本格靴を数えきれないほど持っている方こそ注目いただきたい逸品なのです。
短いピッチで一時間以上かけて手吊り！
水に浸けて柔らかくした革を、“ワニ”という道具で伸ばしながら木型に吊り込みます。留めた釘を何度も外しながら細かく吊り込みを重ねることで、シワ「零」の完璧な立体に。
「零」シリーズは現在、3モデルで展開。ホールカットの「壱」に、ストレートチップ風のダミーステッチを施した（つまりこちらもホールカット！）「弍」、そしてタッセルローファーの「参」をラインナップする。いずれも中底のリブテープを排した「フレキシブルグッドイヤーウェルト製法」ゆえ屈曲性に優れ、柔らかな履き心地だ。各33万円。
