TESLA MODEL X PERFORMANCE ✕ Car life & Event
「自動車＋遊び」をテーマにしてきた当連載。今回は大盛況に終わった東京モーターショーをメインにして自動車にどっぷり浸かり楽しんだ。
相棒はEVのパイオニア、テスラ。不慣れなオートパイロットを駆使しお台場の東京ビッグサイトを目指す。
クルマでいったい何しよう♪ 大人の車会見学
実は選択肢が多い日本国内の自動車遊び
今月はダイレクトにクルマと直結する遊びを提案することにした。なぜなら昨今自動車の世界はAIやEV、自動運転などの技術が飛躍的に進歩し、大きな変革期を迎えているからだ。当然、遊びの世界も変化を続けている。
今回訪れたのはお台場で開催された東京モーターショー。選んだ理由は今年のテーマが「OPEN FUTURE」で、前述した変化がより分かりやすく体験できるから。もちろん、訪れる相棒もEV。その道の先駆者であるテスラ、しかも後席ガルウイングのモデルXを選び、視察という名の遊びに向かった。
【選んだクルマ】TESLA MODEL X
モデルＸはとても快適なクルマだ。静かだし乗り心地も上々。なかでも高速道路を使った長距離移動はいちばんの得意技である。しかしそれだけで終わらないのがすごいところ。試乗したパフォーマンスモデルの0－100km/h加速は2.9秒と、日産GT-RやホンダNSX、ポルシェ911ターボと肩を並べる。一見、肩から力の抜けたファミリーカーでありながら、そんじょそこらの高性能車を蹴散らすほどの速さをもっている……。これがモデルＸの正体だ。
