トッズの新クリエイティブ・ディレクター、マッテオ・タンブリーニ氏が初のメンズコレクションを発表した2025年春夏。この記念すべきタイミングに立ち上がり、次のシーズンへと続く新プロジェクトが「パシュミー」です。“ラグジュアリーレザーハウス”を自認する同社がレザーの選別における最高形態を目指したもので、そのゴールは軽く、柔らかく、繊細なパシュミナのようなレザーを選び抜くこと。特定の革素材を指すのではなく、その高い基準に見合うレザーとそれを用いたアイテムの総称です。

第一弾で見出されたのはキッドスエード。飛び抜けて滑らかな仔山羊の革を、ヒール部のインナーやライニングの補強部材を省いてアンコンストラクション風に仕上げたモカシンシューズは、リネンライニングこそ張られているものの、クニャッと折り畳めてしまうほど。それでいてシューズの形状や機能が保たれているクオリティの高さがトッズたるゆえん。この柔革をブランド十八番のスリッポンで、是非。
