1952年に誕生したオメガを代表するドレス時計のコンステレーション。文字盤6時位置にあしらわれた星は、オメガがそれまでに獲得した天文台での精度コンクールの記録を誇示する。本コレクションには歴代において2つの重要なモデルがあり、まずひとつ目は1964年に登場したコンステレーション「C」。“ラグスポの生みの親”ジェラルド・ジェンタがデザインしたモデルである。そしてもうひとつが1982年発表の「マンハッタン」で、象徴的なケースの4つの爪やハーフムーンファセットを初めて取り入れた。それらのDNA を受け継ぐ現行モデルの新作が「コンステレーションメテオライト」だ。

このモデルではコレクション伝統の一体型ブレスレットを継承。一連のコマを小ぶりなミドルリンクが繋ぐブレスレットにはラグがなく、ケース上下のハーフムーンファセットから直接連結した一体型となり、滑らかに動いてフィット感も抜群に。また、両サイドに4つの爪を擁したケースの厚さは13.5mmと適度なボリュームに仕立てられ、存在感がありつつ着け心地のよさも味わえる。
