阿由葉さんの取材メモ③
ナポリピッツァの名店で、憧れの鴨志田康人さんに会ってみた！
「さて、今日ぼくがお気に入りのデ・ペトリロのジャケットを着てきたのには大きな理由がある。それはぼくが大尊敬するメンズファッション業界の重鎮、鴨志田康人さんにお会いできる日だから！ 待ち合わせたのは、東京屈指のナポリピッツァの名店である、ベッラナポリ。実はこちらの店主の池田哲也さんは、ナポリ仕立てに詳しい服飾評論家でもある。緊張するぼくに、鴨志田さんはいろんなことを教えてくれた。
洋服は、その国の気候や風土から生まれてくること。そしてナポリは“ナポリ国”と呼ばれるほどに、イタリアにおいても独自の文化を持った土地であること…。
イタリアの服は今までたくさん着てきたけれど、やっぱりデ・ペトリロのジャケットが特別に思えるのは、こうしたナポリ文化から生まれてきたからなのだろう。いつかは行かなくてはいけないな。」（阿由葉氏）
“手縫いならではの味わいと、マシンの端正さをミックスした、すっきりとした仕立て”がデ・ペトリロの魅力だと語る鴨志田さん。
「鴨志田さんが袖を通すと、まるでビスポークしたかのようにフィットして、憧れの鴨志田スタイルが完成した。これは人体の曲線になじむ“丸い仕立て”の賜物だろう。
しかも普通のダブルブレストって、フロントボタンを外すと途端にだらしなく見えるのだけれど、これは決してそう見えない。むしろカーディガンを羽織っているかのような、洒落たムードが漂うのだ。
『ラペルがどの辺で返るのかあやふやなところがいい』とは、けだし名言。なるほど、その塩梅が鴨志田スタイルの極意なのかも…。ぼくも真似させていただきます！」（阿由葉氏）
立体的な仕立てに加え、コバのギリギリまで攻めたステッチに、思わず「この価格帯でこれをつくれるのは、ペトリロだけじゃないですか」と口が出てしまう池田哲也さん。
「あまり洋服のオタクっぽい話は好まない鴨志田さんも、デ・ペトリロの縫製技術に舌を巻くとともに、そのコスパに太鼓判を押していた。確かに決して安い服ではないけれど、リアリティある価格のデ・ペトリロは、これからのぼくが暮らし、装う上で強い味方になってくれそうだ。」（阿由葉氏）
「長々洋服の話をしているのもつまんないので、ピザでも食べていきましょう」。
ぼくのような若輩者にも暖かく、そしてフランクに接してくれる鴨志田さんの人柄に、今日はすっかり魅せられてしまった。決して偉ぶらない、軽やかな紳士のためにある服、それがデ・ペトリロなのかもしれない。ぼくもここの服を着ていたら、そんな男になれるかな？

DE PETRILLO（デ・ペトリロ）
2009年にナポリ郊外で設立された、家族経営のファクトリーブランド。“サルトの精神で、大量生産ではなく、一枚ずつ丁寧に仕上げること”をモットーに、クラシックとモダンさを兼ね備えたジャケットを仕立てている。
