セブンアカデミー講座『贅沢の勉強』第3回の開催迫る！

お馴染み松山猛さんが講師として登壇しているカルチャーサロン「セブンアカデミー」。10月21日の第1回「機械式時計」編、11月11日の第2回「靴」編に続いて、第3回「カメラ」編が12月9日（月曜）19時～20時30分に予定されている。

松山さんのカメラへの憧憬は、13歳の夏に遡る。当時中学生の松山さんが、ある先生のうちに行った際「松山君、この本を読みなさい、そして写真を見なさい、いつか君に役立つ本だから」と渡されたのが、ロバート・キャパの『ちょっとピンぼけ』だった。

松山少年は、キャパと出会うことで写真を真剣に見るようになり、やがて写真を撮ることににも興味を持つようになり、写真を撮るための道具である「カメラ」にも魅せられていくのである。ちょうどそれは、写真が「カメラ」という機材の発展とともに、専門性の高いプロ用から、記録媒体として一般化していく過程でもあった。

今回紹介するカメラのうち一機は、スイスの「アルパ」。スイスの時計部品メーカー「ピニオン」社が、35ミリ映画カメラを設計したジャック・ボゴポルスキーに依頼して開発した一眼レフカメラだ。ドイツと日本という2大生産地のハザマで、存在感を出すため独自の仕様が多く、その分価格も高くなり「殿様カメラ」と呼ばれることもあった希少なモデル。こちらには、マクロ撮影が可能なレンズが装備されている。

こういう、競争力はなかったが名機とよばれるカメラを所有しているのが、いかにも松山さんらしい。

松山さんの話を聴きつつ、久々にファンダーをのぞいてズシッと重いあのカメラの感触を再び味わうのは、これまた贅沢な時間となりそうだ。
