鎖は、実に575個もの部品から成る
香箱とフュゼとをつなぐチェーンの長さは、約18cm。これが滑らかに巻き取られるよう、575個もの小さなパーツで構成され、1つ1つすべて手作業で、組み上げられている。フュゼ&チェーンはあまりに古典的な機構であるがゆえ、鎖を組める職人はごくわずかだ。

フュゼ&チェーンは、香箱からのトルクを均一に保つ高精度機構。そしてトゥールビヨンは、時計の姿勢差によって変化する天真とひげゼンマイへの重力方向を平均化することで、精度を高めている。これら2つを組み合わせて、ゼニスは究極の精度を目指した。

傑作エル・プリメロと同じ毎時3万6000振動
ゼニスを象徴するエル・プリメロは、自動巻きクロノグラフの先駆。クロノグラフではなく、しかも手巻きのこのモデルが搭載するキャリバーに、エル・プリメロの名を掲げているのは、毎秒10振動を受け継いでいるから。ハイビート技術で、古典的機構を進化させた。
