MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS STATIONWAGON × Outdoor cooking

知識や道具、経験がないとなかなか踏み出せないアウトドア関連のアクティビティ。ではもし初心者がほぼ手ぶらで色々な知識を教えてもらえるそんな遊びがあったらどうか？　今回はそんな遊びをするためにメルセデス・ベンツ Eクラスステーションワゴンで長野県のキャンプ場を目指した。

料理からアウトドアの知識まで手取り足取り教えてもらえる

今回のアクティビティはアウトドアクッキングとした。兼ねてから「屋外で楽しくキャンプ料理を教えてくれる先生はいないものか」と探していたところ、素晴らしい先生に出会えたことがこのタイミングになった理由だ。

今回の先生は東京・恵比寿にて料理スクールを開いているソリッソさん。普通の料理教室をやりつつ、屋外で行う料理教室など、魅力的な活動を行っている。アウトドア志向の強い人にとってはありがたい先生だ。

そして今回のパートナーは頼もしい新型Eクラスのステーションワゴンである。ロングドライブをしても疲れない快適性、広い荷室、安全性能と様々な遊びに対応してくれる。

試乗したのはエントリーグレードのE 200スポーツ。排気量は1.5ℓだがよく躾けられたターボと9速ATの組み合わせにより想像以上によく走る。しかしそれ以上に印象的だったのがフットワークの進化だ。従来は荒れた路面で関節の硬さが気になったが、しなやかさを増した新型の足回りは19インチタイヤを履いているにもかかわらずメルセデスらしい快適性と濃密な接地感を伝えてきた。
